Amelore was founded by Ruth Cornish, an award-winning HR professional and thought leader who, after a successful career in senior HR roles, wanted to bring positive change into HR. In founding Amelore, Ruth wanted to offer tailored, creative approaches to challenges driven by organisational change; in parallel to offering flexible human resources support on an ad hoc or ongoing basis to fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses.

Our name ‘Amelore’ has been developed from the words Amelioration (to better or improve) and Lore (to build up knowledge). In combination this amalgamated term perfectly sums up our attitude to delivering for clients and how we work.

Ruth is also recognised as a national expert on HR issues in mainstream media; and has appeared in articles on The Guardian, The Times and BBC. She also speaks on BBC and ITV news regularly, giving her expert opinion on timely and/ or controversially discussed HR topics. Ruth also is a regular HR expert panel member on Radio 4’s Moneybox.
