Our client wanted an amazing HR Director with Fintech experience. They’d been looking for a long time, but hadn’t identified a suitable candidate.
We discovered that they’d previously engaged a recruiter who didn’t understand the UK recruitment market, the business or the requirements of the role. The CEO needed expert advice and after analysing the business needs, we suggested hiring a heavy- hitting experienced Chief People Officer reporting directly to him.
We quickly found them an experienced CPO who had worked for an online retail and property business. Ironically, they’d applied directly to the company only to be rejected without interview because they didn’t have Fintech experience. We convinced our client that Fintech experience wasn’t a deal breaker – fantastic HR experience was far more important.
